My beautiful friend Melissa’s bridal shower was such a fun celebration of her. Together, with the other bridesmaids, we teamed up to throw her an amazing (if I do say so myself) shower.

{check out that beautiful rock!}

I took on the look of the tables and brought my chevron dream to reality. Since we were doing appetizers and cocktails buffet style I wanted the focus of the runners to be along the front of the table instead of on the table top. The three runners on the crisp white floor length linen make my heart pitter-patter.

{although it doesn’t look like it in the photo they were all evenly placed … the wind got the best of them}

Love bunting was strung across the window over the buffet flanked by white and yellow gladiolus {that I picked up at the grocery store, holler!}. I liked the height that the tall vases bring to an otherwise level table.

{When coordination a menu with a bunch of people bringing different dishes it can be hard to plan for various levels of food display – these tall arrangements are a quick fix to bring visual interest and height to the table.}

We had cute little clear plastic cups to house pasta salad and for salad to be served in to keep things more finger-foodish.

100 anniversary blue ball mason jars & cute straws | everyday love events

I made these little chevron flags for the cutest grey and white striped straws. {seriously, aren’t striped straws the best thing ever!} This is a super easy DIY… just print out a fun pattern on cardstock {or use scrapbook paper}, cut into 4 inch long strips, fold around straw, tape around straw, glue edges together. Easy peasy and adorable!

{make sure to place the flag low enough on the straw that guests can still drink from it… and tape well so they don’t slip all the way down like a few have in the photo… oops}

Guests wrote their names on a tag and tied it on their mason jar to keep tabs on their cocktails.

{that amazing lucite tray – just a $2 frame from Michaels. score!}

Beverages consisted of water, lemonade, spiked lemonade, red sangria and white sangria. Sure to be an option for everyone.

{find my favorite white wine sangria in this post… yum!}

I love the way the tags looked with the flags… of course I only put out markers in matching colors for the tags.

Stunning bride-to-be!

grey chevron, blue masons & lemon centerpieces | everyday love events

I totally am obsessed with how these centerpieces turned out. We were looking for something simple and fun yet bridal shower-ish. I made these squares out of fabric that I ordered online {same as the yellow runners} and have already used them again {photos coming soon!}. I had pre-ordered some of these 100 anniversary blue ball mason jars for a wedding that I have coming up but thought that they were the perfect touch of color. The lemons and baby’s breath add a sweet touch to the look. To really personalize things for Melissa I made these little signs for each table with phrases such as “happy day” & “Melissa loves Robby”.

chevron cake | everyday love events

 This cake was to.die.for. Seriously, could it be any cuter?!?

{The fact that it was made by the moh’s sister-in-law is just the icing on the cake. See what I did there?}

Ahhh, those flowers!

{I’m a huge fan of labels for food… not only is it a fun way to bring in color and style but helps guest know what their choices are}

Too cute!

wine bottle guest book | everyday love events

This might have been my favorite detail of the shower. We wanted to have a new take on a guest book and decided to have guests sign bottles of wine. I wrote these little poem to go with each bottle and we had silver pain pens out for loved ones to leave little notes for the new couple.

{Make sure to get wine that can age well… BevMo! is a great place to find some, just ask for a recommendation}

I’m so happy with how everything turned out and I hope Melissa felt showered by lots of love!

What was your favorite part?
